SNOTE

• This is a free service for customers and partners of SAP.  It is a collection of informative documents, some of which include repairs or changes to standard SAP software.

• SAP notes are small corrections delivered by SAP before releasing the support package. All the SAP notes will be included in the next support package release.

• You must have an ID to access this site.  If your company is a licensee of SAP software, you get the ID from the person in your company who administers the license.

• The notes can be edited by SAP after releasing to the customers and when the SAP note is edited by SAP, new version of the SAP note will be released.

1. Go to Transaction SNOTE

1. Download SAP note enter note number From down sap note option or Goto Download Note, Give note number and click on execute button.

1. After downloading the note, please goto SAP NOTE browser ctrl+F9 and enter the note number to check the implementation status of the note. The note can be implemented in the system if the "can be implemented" status is available.

1. Make sure the Note is in "Can be Implemented" or "Obsolete version Implemented" Implementation status.

1. Now click on menu bar on SAP Note and click on Implement SAP note or CTRL+F1 or select note and execute button.

Note:The grey diamond indicates that note cannot be implemented.A play button indicates note can be implemented.The file extension for  snote in .DAT

1. Select the request from the pop-window or create a new request.

1. Now next screen will appear with transport number then click on OK button

1. Make sure to see the final status and log of note implementation (ctrl+F5).

Different Implementation in SNOTE for particular SAP note downloaded in the system.Can be implemented - Note is valid for your system release and support package level and can be implemented in the system.Cannot be implemented - Note is not valid for your systemCompletely Implemented - The note is already implemented in the systemIncompletely Implemented - The note is partially implemented in the system and still some correction instructions of the note need to be implemented in the system.Obsolete - The note is already delivered with the support package implemented in the system.Obsolete Version Implemented - Either newer version of the note is released by the SNOTE or the system is upgraded to the higher version of the support package level.NoteFollowing are the two important notes which need to be implemented in all the system depending on the basis releases. If there is any fix to SAP standard, it will be attached to the note.OSS message is a ticket customer creates if they experience a problem with an SAP system. SNOTE - Deploy SAP Note

You can deploy/apply SAP note in SAP system using SAP Note assistant. (Tx SNOTE).

Prerequisite : You have gone through the SAP note and verified it is valid for your SAP software release.

How to deploy SAP Note :

1.Go to SAP transaction  SNOTE  > MENU >GOTO > "Download SAP note" and enter the note number you want to deploy.

2.Now press the check button to see if the note implementation status. If you see note status  "Can be Implemented" then press Execute button to proceed.

3.This will download the SAP note in in your system , now drill down under the "New"  section to check your note. 

4.Select the note and  go to Menu  > SAP Note >"Implement SAP Note".

5.This will trigger following confirmation screens, just confirm.

6.Now system will prompt you for the transport request to capture all the changes.Click on "Create" button and give some short description in the next window and Save.

7.Now the system will prompt you to confirm the changes that will implement with this SAP note.

8. Once you confirm the changes, your note will be deployed and you will found your note in "In processing" section (please note that at this stage your note is already deployed).

9.Once the changes are verified you can change the status of SAP note to "Completed". To do that select the SAP note and go to Menu >SAP Note > "Set Processing Status".

10. Your SAP note is deployed and now you can move the transport to other system to implement this note.
